1. Clientele: It is vital that property owners consider the type of tenants they intend to attract, and/or keep, before making any changes to the building. Different industries and company cultures require different spaces, and the aesthetics of the building in which they inhabit are an inevitably an extension of who they are as a company.

2. Precise Scheduling and Planning: Having clear deadlines and timelines for each stage of the remodel is important when accommodating current, or prospective, occupants, to ensure that the remodeling process does not have a negative impact on their company’s livelihood.

3. Quality over Price: Be sure not to allow budgetary concerns persuade you to get involved with unqualified contractors. The cost of reworking or costs associated with a hazard are much more expensive than getting the job done right the first time.

Why Not to Choose the Billboard-Advertised Electrician

Posted on Aug 13, 2014

2Have you ever seen a billboard for an electrician and thought they must be the ones to call for my next job? Marketing is highly effective in attracting new business. However, electrical companies that use big billboards and other large-scale advertisements typically spend lots of money and time on marketing themselves, rather than investing that time in producing quality work that speaks on its own. This results in lower quality work for higher costs, to fund those big billboards. For your next commercial electrical project, choose a company through referral with lower-grade marketing tactics for a more quality work-centric approach.

Are you looking for an electrician for your commercial project? Trademark Electric offers United States government-contracted electricians who focus their efforts on providing clients with quality work for long lasting electrical functionality.

  1. Insulation: The best way to protect your pipes from freezing come wintertime is to keep them properly insulated. Insulation keeps the cold air from infiltrating pipes, so the water inside stays liquefied.
  2. No Power? Drip Water: If your property looses power, always let your sinks run a bit. A slow drip keeps water flowing through piping, preventing ice buildup, which can increase in-pipe pressure and cracking risk.
  3. Heat Tracing Cables: Heat tracing cables maintain a minimum temperature within a building’s pipes, to prevent against freezing and cracking. If your building is at risk for frozen pipes, consider installing heat tracing cables.

Would you like to install heat tracing cables in your next commercial construction project? Trademark Electric offers quality heat tracing cable installation services, to prevent your property’s pipes from freezing.

The scoop on LED Lighting

If you haven’t heard or read about it already, let us bring you up to speed on LED lighting and its many advantages.  LEDs, or light-emitting diodes, are small light sources that become illuminated by the movement of electrons through a semiconductor material.  LEDs are extremely efficient and long-lasting.  In fact, when you compare them to other lighting methods available on the market today, you will discover that LED lighting is by far the most energy-efficient solution, with benefits far outweighting the cost.  Here are just a few of the advantages:

Long Life:

LED bulbs and diodes have a life expectation of up to 100,000 hours.  That is 11 years of continuous operation, or 22 years of 50 percent operation.

Energy Efficient:

LED lighting is estimated to use 75 to 90 percent less energy than traditional lighting.

Size:

They measure from 3 to 8 mm long and can be used in small spaces that are too small for other light bulbs.

No UV Emissions

LED lighting produces little infrared light and close to no UV emissions, therefore it is suitable for goods that are sensitive to heat or sensitive to UV light, as would be needed in museums, art galleries, etc.

Durable:

LEDs are highly durable and built with sturdy components that can withstand tough conditions.

Instant Lighting:

When powered on, LED lights brighten up immediately.  Traditional lighting may take several seconds to reach full brightness.

Frequent Switching:

LED lights can be switched on and off frequently without affecting the LED’s lifetime or light emission, whereas conventional methods have drastically reduced life expectancy.

Directional:

LEDs give off light in a specific direction, allowing the light to be contained in an area, whereas incandescent and fluorescent bulbs emit light in all directions, wasting energy.

Low Temperature:

LEDs remain cool, whereby incandescent bulbs give off 90 percent of their energy as heat and compact fluorescent bulbs waste 80 percent as heat.

Ecologically Friendly:

LED lights are toxin free and are 100 percent recyclable.

According to Energy.gov, widespread use of LED lighting has the greatest potential impact on energy savings in the U.S.    By 2027, energy.gov estimated that the widespread use of LEDs could save approximately 348 TWh of electricity.  That is equivalent to an annual electrical output of 44 large electric power plants and a total savings of $30 billion at today’s electricity prices.
